The most widely messenger tool known as Facebook Messenger app which was first introduced in the iPhone, iPod touch and later in the Android and BlackBerry devices has now been leaked on Windows, reports TechIT.

The company was testing the official build of Facebook Messenger for Windows since late November as a beta with a small group of users most of them were Facebook employees. The new Facebook Messenger for Windows is a handy tool for talking to 800 million users who are using Facebook across the world.

The newly released tool has a pretty similar GUI (graphics user interface) compared to the web. The features that are available in the Facebook Messenger for Windows are chat, ticker feed, and a complete notification center which includes friends request, messages, and other alerts. You can also search for friends and look up for those who you actually wants to talk with.

Notably, the Facebook Messenger application only runs on Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to install Facebook Messenger on Windows 95 or Windows 98. However, you can install the application on Windows XP, but the application doesn’t seems to be promising. We have personally tried it and the installation went pretty smooth. But unfortunately the application was then crashing again and again. Maybe an update from Facebook will fix this issue, since the app is not released for public it will take quite a lot of time to fix this bugs and to make the application more stable.
