Most of the Laptop or Notebooks does not have an option to manually turn off the LCD screen. Now that is one Important tool we Youngsters need.. LOL ... Hope you got what i mean to say. NO !! Hmmmm ... Suppose you are watching some Unwanted stuff on your Laptop, suddenly your Dad walks in .... OMG !! I bet you don't want to be in that Situation again while using Laptop... Knowing that i found this Useful software.

Not only that, Turning off the Monitor/LCD screen will also save power and it makes sense when you are downloading files overnight. Windows has an option to turn off monitor when kept unused for some time, but this feature is not always good. Turn Off LCD is a simple freeware application which will allow you to turn off your Notebook screen saving some power.

All you need is to download and run the file, no installation is required. The file is only 89kb in size. So just Keep that application on your Desktop n where it would be easy to Click in any situation :D.

Its coded in C# using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, basically a simple console based application that makes use of a dynamic link library (User32.dll) file from Windows using System.Runtime.InteropServices namespace and then calls the required function. Simple, Right !! This application works in Windows 7 as well.
